Alternatives and renewable forms of energy are the future; environmentally harmful forms of energy must be consistently reduced. Fossil fuels are harmful to the climate and hazardous to health. While many European countries are already pursuing a clear policy to leave this behind, Germany is clinging to this outdated form of energy production.
It looks different with nuclear energy. While Germany is implementing nuclear energy reductions, countries like France are pushing ahead with the construction of new nuclear reactors. We therefore call for a uniform European energy directive, which makes the rapid withdrawal from both forms of energy generation mandatory. In addition, Europe must continue to increase its independence in the energy sector and reduce its dependence on energy exports.
On the other hand, the research and development of renewable energies must be further promoted and promoted. On a European basis, this also means ensuring uniform availability at a stable price point. This requires further networking of energy supply systems and energy storage structures.
